Vacation on the Happy Island series
This series of works aims to reveal the theme of carefree relaxation, enjoyment, and happiness. The animals live in an idealistic, beautiful world without problems, difficulties, or challenges. The atmosphere is filled with festivity, lively blossoming, joy, and lightness.
I tried to satisfy my desire for tranquility, peace, and well-being. I created a small world where the only concerns of the characters are beauty and pleasure. The colors of the paintings are pure, open, and bright to emphasize the positive mood of the characters. The style is naive and sincere. I did not want to answer complex questions or reveal deep concepts. I wanted to take a break from the anxious routine and constant feeling of danger of the war. I wanted to transport myself and the viewer to leisurely joy and simple living moments.
Sweet home series
The "Sweet Home" series is dedicated to the feelings of peace, comfort, and safety I experience when I am at home. This theme is deeply personal to me. Having endured more than 15 forced relocations and being unable to return to my childhood home, I value the sense of connection to my living space and long to feel coziness and harmony.
I strive to convey all of these warm feelings through pastel colors and soft, serene textures and patterns. In addition, my paintings are imbued with a sense of trust and love for the environment, loved ones, and home. The artwork in this series celebrates everyday life, its beauty, and true value. They strive to capture the moment and draw attention to the happiness that is so very close - in our homes.
Spring series
The "Spring" series captures the sensations that permeate us during the most enchanting time of the year. It reveals the emergence of feelings, the pleasure of tenderness, and the belief in the future.
The color palette of the paintings resembles the blossoming of trees, combining pastel tones with vibrant, saturated accents. They seem effortlessly crafted, as if breathing in cool, fresh air.
The series is executed in a decorative style, with each canvas incorporating elements that convey a sense of texture. These elements refer to traditional embroidered Ukrainian ornaments that symbolize the Tree of Life and serve as symbols of prosperity, happiness, and blessings.
Melancholy series
The "Melancholy" series of paintings reveals my inner world as I am lost in emotions. When inner reflection takes precedence over life itself, I strive to uncover my essence and understand who I truly am.
This collection delves deep into my reflections on self-discovery and one's nature. My paintings are imbued with sadness and quiet serenity, while the blue and purple color palette emphasizes the magical and unreal quality of the scenes depicted.
I hope that viewers will reflect on their feelings and inner contradictions while contemplating these paintings. Whether they fear sorrow or, on the contrary, seek constant joy without understanding the potential for growth hidden in melancholy.
The purpose of this series is to encourage inner exploration and answer the question of whether melancholy is a problem or a path to emotional growth. I believe that the heart of melancholy may be a key to a deeper understanding of oneself and one's emotional landscape.
